This project looks into the world of shipping packagings.

There is a kind of packaging that plays a protective role for objects : the wedging devices. Those are often overlooked despite their large number, while they accompany constantly the packaged objects. Even if their ability to keep unharmed merchandise through shipping comes from good intentions, we can regret the congestion and pollution they cause. Aside polystyrene blocks and other traditional wedging systems, how can we rethink the way everyday items are wedged and protected within a box? How should we carry them? How can we decrease the carbon footprint of these packagings and recycle them into always broader distribution networks (online shopping, ...)?

This system tries very simply to address those questions.

In the shape of inflatable and deflatable paper objects, each module of this concept is designed to be reusable, entirely recyclable and adapted to many needs.

Pack, Inflate, Re-Use

  • A simple concept for more adaptability and potential.

  • Two ways to easily inflate a module: at home with a straw or at work with a professional air compressor.

  • A compact system: deflate easily each pack solution and re-inflate later when you need it.
